Support Equal Marriage - Take Action!

6 Things YOU Can Do to Support Equal Marriage in Massachusetts:

If you don't yet receive email alerts from GLAD, please sign up.

The legal battle for equal marriage rights is still on. We are already back in court to ensure that the Goodridge decision is fully implemented. As the organization behind the Goodridge case, GLAD will continue its role at the center of local advocacy, standing up to any and all efforts to block or water down the decision, in the courts and in the legislature. We want to keep you informed and engaged.

Contact your state legislators and Governor Patrick early and often.

Take action against the Federal Marriage Amendment!

Opponents of civil rights in Washington D.C. are pushing hard to pass a Constitutional amendment that would overturn the Mass. Supreme Court decision and permanently ban marriage rights for same-sex couples across the entire United States (H.J. Res. 56, S.J. Res. 26). To amend the Constitution is a difficult process, but if we do not speak out and let Congress know that people oppose the amendment, it could pass.
